Registration for Google’s annual, algorithmic, global, coding competition, Code Jam is now open and this year the competition is giving contestants even more ways to test their programming skills with the addition of an entirely new track called Distributed Code Jam (DCJ). In addition to the 25 Code Jam finalists and $15,000 grand prize, this year the competition will also bring 10 DCJ finalists to the global, onsite finals in Seattle, Washington, and will give them a chance to be named the first-ever Distributed Code Jam champion. Fun fact: the design is made up of 120 actual lines of code in 31 different coding languages written by 114 different Code Jammers during the 2014 competition!
